Computer Assisted Semen Analysis System (CASA 2000)

Biovis CASA 2000: computer-assisted semen analysis covering motility, concentration, morphology, vitality, DNA fragmentation, and reporting—the same module structure and marketing copy as the manufacturer CASA 2000 page.

Motility

Tracks, velocities, classification

Counts and % counts: total count, motile, progressive motile, rapid/medium/slow/static classification. Mean velocities: VAP, VCL, VSL, and related metrics (per manufacturer listing). Track overlay for movement visualization. Dose calculation. Read from image sequences in different formats (bmp, tiff, jpeg, etc.). Generate comprehensive statistics for one or several fields; transfer results to Microsoft Excel; custom report generator with results and images; slow-motion playback of stored sequences for behavioral studies.

Motility — Tracks, velocities, classification

Concentration

Millions per ml

Concentrations: express sperm concentration in millions/ml. Classification: rapid, medium, slow, and static. Mean sperm velocities (VAP, VCL, VSL, etc.). Integrated with the same workflow as motility and morphology modules on the partner page.

Concentration — Millions per ml

Morphology

Spermiogram

Interactive / automated morphometry of sperm: size and shape of sperm heads, acrosome assessment, midpiece metrics. Complete spermiogram. Statistics for several analyzed sperms. Classify based on morphological attributes. Interactive tagging classification for normal vs abnormal sperm; abnormal classes can be user-defined.

Morphology — Spermiogram

Vitality and staining

Color classification

Automatic count and classification based on color. Classification of stained or fluorescently tagged sperm heads. Color classification to generate DNA fragmentation, vitality, and viability reports (per manufacturer). Automatic analysis of intact and acrosome-reacted sperm. Optional mitochondrial activity module for automated percentage of sperm with active mitochondria.

Vitality and staining — Color classification

DNA fragmentation

Classification and export

Spermatozoa are recognized and classified for DNA fragmentation workflows alongside vitality reporting. Export and reporting options match the broader CASA module list on the manufacturer site.
